UN war crimes court jails former Yugoslav army chief

The Yugoslav war crimes tribunal sentenced the former chief of the Yugoslav army to 27 years imprisonment for providing crucial military aid to Bosnian Serb forces responsible for the Srebrenica massacre and for a deadly four-year campaign of shelling and sniping in Sarajevo.

Goran Hadzic pleads not guilty to war crimes

The wartime leader of rebel Serbs in Croatia pleaded not guilty Wednesday at the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal to charges of murdering hundreds of Croats and expelling tens of thousands more in one of the first ethnic cleansing campaigns of the Balkan conflicts.
